About Hi,

I'm trying to pass the time as a Nor'easter drops about a foot and a half of snow....

This image is intentionally soft and blurry. Used PS to add noise and apply unsharp mask.

What do you think? Does this image have enough interest in monochrome? Or should I continue to try to improve the image?

All comments are welcome. It's okay to say negative things, I have always strongly felt that these are what really leads to improvement in my work.

Thank you!

Laura

Great shot! Your calla pictures are very nice, I am torn between this one and the calla fan- both are beautiful. It is an interesting shot in b/w becuase the tones. Have a nice time digging out of the snow- I dug for hours this morning.

lovely macro shot with good details

Perfect! So many shades of grey and right amount of noise added. A bit of contrast without noise may be another one.
To me, I miss a very thin black border.
Congratulation for the marvel you've created.

Nicely composed and I think the grain works well here.

This is simply elegant and beautiful. Love your choice to make it black & white. Know a little about Nor'easters because my grandfather and six uncles were commercial fishermen out of Gloucester, MA. Keep up the fantasic work.

the grain and soft focus add to the image.. nicely captured...

I like the one with the border a bit better, so there. That's mighty brave to lose the color of this photo and do it in B&W... a gamble that paid off. I like it probably much more than I would a color photo.

Best,
Dave

I like this one better. The other one is nice too but I prefer the high key look of the top of the image.
