About Wrapped in silent elegance
Beautifully broken down
As illusions burst
Too late to learn from experience
Too late to wonder how
To finish first

Take me somewhere we can be alone
Make me somewhere I can call a home

I always like sand images. Like the waves or details in this one. Excellent photograph.

Joel Aron   {K:14920} 2/13/2006
Wild grain pattern in the fg sand!

You've taken me to the desert with this one Peta! It is, a very quiet, and beautiful capture.

Very nice composition, saving just a little sky.

best,
-Joel

i'm speachless.

it makes me want to ditch the asian theme i have going in my bedroom for a crisp, clean beach theme with this in a large canvas print as the center piece.

John Pitman   {K:8401} 2/14/2006
Very nice Peta. Like the patterns. John

Mort Gage   {K:2733} 2/14/2006
i think this "series" (last 4 from you) is terrific. colors and composition are dynamite. according to my eyes, the colors in your images are consistently rich and vibrant. if you have time to share, i would be interested in reading a any other "technicals" that are not listed above - e.g., filters, post-processing, WB settings, etc that produce such colors. Also, was this one exposure? Looking forward to more of your posts!

Wooowwww Peta, another good one! Congrats!

I usually struggle with titles - but this just came to me right away! Its actually a song title from one of my favs - Zero 7. Thank you Paolo!

p e t a .   {K:18374} 2/14/2006
So do it babe! Ditch the clutter - simplicity is the answer :)

p e t a .   {K:18374} 2/14/2006
Hi Mort - thanks so much! I do love vivid colours! I have one last one (my fav) to post - so I promise to give all the details on that one. The exposure on this was 160@f8 (iso100) used just a polarizer. Hope you like the next one too ;)

Jim Goldstein   {K:21230} 2/14/2006
Very striking image. I think if the depth of field were more complete in the immediate foreground you'd have true perfection. As with the other image I commented on earlier you nailed the exposure. Great detail and sharpness.

Ahmed Borizg   {K:109} 2/14/2006
beautiful

Giulio Rotelli   {K:28402} 2/14/2006
uno degli scatti che preferisco: le geometrie naturali delle dune di sabbia scolpite dal vento sono una delle cose più belle che esistano in natura...
questo scatto è perfetto nelle lucie e nei colori...
7/7

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/14/2006
Beautiful undisturbed sand dune. The color of the sand is exquisite and the pattern is like waves. Excellent abstract quality! The clouds contrast with the sky and the sky/sand contrast is perfect! Great image, superb clarity :) Best regards, Ina

Michael Fox   {K:3180} 2/14/2006
Elegant in its simplicity. Beautiful sandscape!

Stace Walker   {K:4063} 2/14/2006
haha, the only thing that clutters it is all the plants i have [love my plants, gotta have my plants!] ;D

Steve Aronoff   {K:17803} 2/15/2006
Beautiful composition, Peta. The dune has the feel of a female nude. Very nice!
Steve

Really Steve? huh, well I'm happy you like it :)

Khaled Mursi Hammoud   {K:52709} 2/19/2006
That's a superb landscape Peta... I like this white sand which makes a wonderful contrast with the blue sky... good oblique composition of the ripples.
Excellent work Peta, regards,
Khaled.
