I cropped his legs, he had long shorts and I thought it was distracting. It was a good instant, but the photo as a whole was full of people, so I isolated them and blurred the crowd.

WOW, a fantstic technique applied in a very communicative way. The mood conveyed here is one of incredible jubilance! The motion blur somehow combined with the embracing face conveys high excitement and joy in a very powerful and effective way. It is the visual representation of excitement, it seems. Thank you very much and really appreciate your comments Rashed :) I wish I could say that I used panning, but these kids were in a large crowd at a festival in the park, and they were surrounded by many people which made the picture very busy.
