Kathy, great view and an angle for this shot, good rich colors and contrasts. I have to post some of my barns very soon not to stay behind your pace of postings. Well viewed and well balanced in colors, Cheers, n.j

I love it Kath! Is this the one you were talking about? I think the focus is just perfect for this shot. Very nice indeed...love the red in the blueberry branches. We better shoot as many of these as we can SOON. They will be green before we know it. You should print this and give them a copy. )

Oh Kathy, this is divine! I know people are going to think I'm a nutter for saying so, but I LOVE the colour and fine detail in the foreground branches. Your choice of dof leaves enough lovely detail in the background so that we can see there's a barn and more trees in the distance. MY eyes are glued to those gorgeous branches though! :)) Very well done...

Cheers
Rina

Blueberry plants, I thought they were tiny low growing things, very educational this site.

Interesting composition Kathy, love the details and colours in the branches with the barn in good enough focus to drag the eyes through the branches to it. Nicely done.

Very good! The framing of the barn with the plants was a good idea, it adds depth to the image. Colors, light and details are all good.

Do your neighbors know you are spying on them through the bushes? :) I love the focus on the brush rather than the barn. Good color tones and details. Well done!

Alison DuFlon   {K:36442} 2/15/2006
Beautifully taken, the red of the blueberry bushes add a great layer of color and good dimension to the shot. I feel as if I am creeping up to the barn. :) Alison

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/15/2006
Superb angle of view Kathy through all the colorful branches! Excellent DOF and the colors are like a painting! I love the white branches against the dark blue, almost like a negative image, contrasting with the greens and reds in the foreground. Wonderfully composed, and there is a barn in there too! I like how you've included the long branch on the right! Best regards, Ina

Foreground is very well done. I think it took some courage to try this shot because this idea does not always work. I believe the red branches help in that they contrast with the general background tone.

I just love the way you've restricted your dof to the foreground, making the barns more blurry, presented like a faded backdrop, which fits the fact they are relatively farther away, therefore accentuating that the viewer is looking up close -- into those blueberry branches that have the detail that needs focus. Moreover, the barns increase the depth perception. Such a pleasant combination of form, color and composition. I like it!

This is a lovely peek-a-boo image. Beautiful depth of field used here to get the berries nice and sharp and the barn just a tad soft. Lovely balamce of colour colour throughout. A beautiful image. Always great to see a friend on the front page. Congrats again.

Cheers - Ann :)
