This is really beautiful, Dennis. The panoramic format fits it perfectly. I really like photos that take me on a path and lead me to a hidden future that I want to know, and yours does this very well.
Very, very nice!
Best,
Steve

Thanks for the comment on my portfolio Ace. I have visited your portfolio and found many powerful and beautiful images. I like your idea that your photography explores music in nature. Your images certainly have a inspirational quality to them. Hopefully we will be able to share more "musical photos" and perhaps even some music in the future.

Hi Ace,

If you look at my portfolio you will see a wide variety of images - abstracts to landscapes and everything in between. My music composing is much the same way - a wide range of styles, everything from choral music in a classical style, to jazz, to music I call "cinematic" but would most likely be labelled New Age by music stores. Most of my music is instrumental, though I sometimes work with texts. If you are interested I could send you a MP3 or two of my recordings - I just need to know what email address you would like me to send them to. You can reach me at dennisdh@sasktel.net

Thanks for your interest, and may your camera find many more captivating scenes to share.

Very nice shot... Proving once again what a small world it is, I grew up about a block from here.

Cheers,

Jon

Dennis Hendricksen   {K:4631} 4/21/2006
It is a small world! So you know about the geese and the golf course I assume! Thanks for the comment.

I surely do know about the poop machines I mean geese. But to my orientation you should be standing either on or at the Elphinstone bridge (facing west) , or (I think more likely) on the south side of the creek on or just in from the Pasqua bridge (facing east), which puts the golf course a ways up the other side of the tracks. LOL... sorry - I mean the Lewvan. :-]

Actually Jon this part of the creek borders the golf course west of the Lewvan and north of the tracks - in this shot I am facing west towards the golf course and RCMP depot. I walk down the bike path (from where I took this shot) a couple times a week and really enjoy walking beside the creek, even on cold days like this picture illustrates.

Ahhh..... I kinda wondered what that hillish looking thing off to the left was, as it didn't look like anything I remember from Les Sherman Park :-] ... We used to toboggan at Airport Hill when I was a kid, which must be a bit upstream of where you were, although I'm more familiar with that stretch as a summer thing (my wife and I come back in the summer time especially to blade that trail).
