Wow, I REALLY like this, absolutely supurb! Excellent work, as always!

I love the feel of the openness of the street, it really has an old time atmosphere about it... The girl in the middle, to me, really adds an innocence to it as well... Really, a gorgeous portrait!

Great photo. Love the overall softness. Photo makes you feel like she's a little girl in a big world. Love the bare feet and pavement. Very natural. Great contrast on the white. The silhouette through her hair is stunning.

David Hofmann   {K:23830} 2/16/2006
wow, I so much love this shot! It has that sepcial something. Really cool.
I would crop a little from the right and the botton to give it a slightly more interesting composition. Oh and the car in the background it great! :) really

Pat Fruen   {K:12073} 2/16/2006
Come on, David, admit it-you're dying to get rid of the car! ;)

David Hofmann   {K:23830} 2/16/2006
actually I honestly do like it. I tried to crop it out, but the photo is far less interesting without the background. Here is what I think makes the composition a little more interesting.

Michael Grace-Martin   {K:10283} 2/17/2006
Well if you crop it like David says, you need to rotate it slightly counterclockwise because she forms a distracting angle with the right side of the photo (neurotic? me neurotic?). See attached. BTW, I like it!..:)

cropped, slight rotation

Great shot Pat! She looks so alone standing on that great big street. Well done!

I'm not sure if I would like it as much (at least not for the same reasons) if it was cropped. I just think that I like the lonely feeling of her standing there with the great big street all around her.

Great job. I love it!

Amanda Keeys   {K:9349} 2/19/2006
I like the car too ;) (Noticed the comments). Adds a sense of realness. Man she's growing up!

I really like the feel to this shot. the environment makes this shot.
