I really like the contrast between the rounded heads and the rectilnear architecture, but aside from the obvious charm of the children, I'm not sure what the picture is about. Very appealing kids, though.

It's meant as a social documentary. When I was growing up in mid-century middle-class midamerica, there was a thing called "the children's table." At big family functions, only the grown-ups were allowed at "the big table" so a card table was set up for people to be demoted to, according to age. I remember one thansgiving my grandmother made my younger sister, who was already an MD, sit at the "childrens table" with our neices and nephews. She was not amused. When I saw these kids sitting in a church hall, all at the same table, largely ignored by the adults around them, I had to snap off a few. In order to keep it candid, I kept my camera on the table. I like this one because my bisquit looks so big in the foreground.
