Salam
It is a very nice science fiction image. I wonder how they get their water for drinking?

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47644} 2/18/2006
Dear Kambiz,
They are so smart that they build their towers on the top a spring source so no such problem exists :)
By the way did you ever play a SimCity computer, its similar way to build an entire city with its facility?
Thanks
Saeed

Dr. Rafael Springmann   {K:86600} 2/19/2006
Your imagination does indeed create wonders, my friend. Before reading your "about", I wandered what the deer were doing in the desert. Thank you for your very kind comment on my "Fishing." I made several photos of this scene & chose the sharpest one. I don't think they caught any fish. The river was too polluted. Sorry for being late in responding. ever since back from Uruguay where everthing is done "eventually", I do thing in slow motion.
Ma'a salami,
Rafi

Ameed El-Ghoul   {K:42174} 2/20/2006
Wowwww Saeed, Now you are talking baby :) fits my taste allot, I like it to the maximum, the digital manipulation is too good to be true :) my hat up buddy,
Now to be nit-picky, there is 2 things in my humble opinion that might be improved,
1- There are no shadows for the deers, while the city cast some.
2- The deer to the right, it doesn't look natural, as the lighting on it is darker than the rest of the image.
Beside that, I would give it Picture of the day :)
keep up the good work,
Regards,

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47644} 2/20/2006
Thanks Ameed
Its a long way to reach my goal with this work, and your notice are part of those which need more to be adjusted along with many others hope more towards perfection in coming projects,
I always take the note of public opinions or the viewers, they are my main source especially the honest ones.
Thanks
Saeed

woww... great work, very nice photo art
you are certainly full of imagination and beautifully presented

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47644} 2/22/2006
Dr.Rafael
Thank for your words, actual those gazelles are in there natural habitat in the desert free and we have more than 5 national protected places included island where those deer and Arabic al maha deer (white)kept under control, I’ve been to a desert resource and seen this gazelle not far from the main roads .see attachment.,
so the desert actual in UAE is not a dead desert:)
thanks
Saeed

Dr. Rafael Springmann   {K:86600} 2/22/2006
Shukran, ya Saeed, for you explanation & for the beautiful photo of the deer in the desert.
The southern part of our country, the Negev, is also mostly desert. But it's also not dead. It contains all kinds of animals, all protected & some brought back from abroad, like wild donkeys set free again in the desert. We also have a few leopards, lots of deer etc. Unfortunately I have no decent photo of any of them, as they are very shy. I'll try to attach one here, although it's not very good.

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47644} 2/22/2006
Thanks Dr.
It must be similar in some how, this we call it mountain goat although it is a deer type, but mostly live in the rocky mountains, thanks for mentioning leopard as I used to be with UAE Natural History Group, where I used, with others to locate those rare Arabian leopard and some other protected ones.
I’ve been to Jordan recently but still not to your country who knows may be near future ;)
Here another photo of deer in the middle of their natural place.
Thanks
Saeed

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47644} 2/22/2006
oops.here we are.

Dr. Rafael Springmann   {K:86600} 2/22/2006
Another lovely photo of the deer on the skyline, Saeed. Thank you. I forgot to mention that at least until not too long ago we also had Hubaras, ostrich-like runing birds, about half the size of an ostrich & many other partrich-like earth dwelling birds. The latter are mention in the Old Testament as birds that brood but have no ofsprings.
Hoping to see you here some day. I think our people are now allowed to visit the UAR.
Best regards,
Rafi
