A very moody image! The sky is a strange color, how did you achieve that? Good silhouettes!

Khaled Mursi Hammoud   {K:52315} 2/19/2006
Dear Laura,
Actually I didn't change anything in the photo except for some cropping and sharpening using PS.
As I wrote before in the camera settings, it's just a matter of adjusting the photo towards the underexposed side with different combinations of shutter speed and apperatures you'll get different grades of the sunset tone.
Like the one I uploaded before this one, it's just as I said, adjusting the image towards the underexposed side, that's it.
Thanx for your concern my friend, this is the original photo.
Khaled.

Laura Spell   {K:24080} 2/19/2006
Thanks for the prompt reply! I was curious! That color gives the overall image a mysterious look!

Khaled Mursi Hammoud   {K:52315} 2/19/2006
You know Laura, it's something nice to know that with every sunset you capture you'll get a different color tone.
You can get brown, golden, yellow, orange and red tone, and you know, that what makes sunset photos something special to me... I usually adjust the light manually, and so I can push it to the underexposed side.
Take care dear friend,
Khaled.

Wonderful shot!! Gorgeous tones and silhouettes, love the vertical palm tree stems and the fanning out of the leaves... And the way you've captured/framed the sun in between the trees... super... well done!!!

Dave Arnold   {K:55603} 10/28/2006
This sunset really has a bold feel to it. Very nicely exposed, I might add. That sun is just perfect. I don't know if you filtered this with sepia or if it was natural color but whatever, it came out very nice.

Best wishes,
Dave
