Very different take on the usual flower picture... the colors, shading and composition all come together to create a unique and wonderful image...

An apt title for a fine capture. Graceful and unique pose with all the technical essentials in place.

The lighting has been well utilised Mary Sue, very effective, you also have captured wonderful rich colour in the petals of this gerbera, lovely shot.

Missed this one earlier. Great colours and texture here and the shadow lighting is amazing. The petals look so real I feel I could reach out and touch them.

I would like to see the left edge of the flower however and find the flower too centered for my liking. If the stem had come down into the frame where the shadows in the background break in the upper right, this image would have gone from good to great.

Mary Sue...great photo!! The shadowing was a very neat idea and I love the vibrant colors of the flower. You make the ordinary look beautiful! Very creative!!
