An excellent action shot Dave of these wonderful animals. Is it the dogs in Canada or should I say huskies that totally love pulling sledges and live for that duty? I love the texture you always manage to get in your snow scenes. You are sooooooo brave standing out there grabbing these wonderful shots to bloody brrr for me. My very best wishes as always....Ray

Such action with the dogs straining! You successfully captured the cold northern light, Dave. The slight flare, seems to accentuate the effect.

Kelly

cessy karina   {K:14205} 2/28/2006
very nice moment captured, Dave
brbrbr... -30 ??
the action is awesome
I would crop left and up (to dispose the man on the left and the litte flare on the left of the sun) may be, or clone them out :)

Del Metheny   {K:25494} 2/28/2006
Nice job of capturing the feel of the race. The bare landscape adds to the feeling of cold. I do not think I am going to take this up as a hobby. Del.

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 2/28/2006
Great shot of these sled dogs, Dave! I love the series! Great capture with backlit snow, I like the bits of sun flare, and the shape of the trees on the right. Very beautiful, those guys are working hard uphill!
Best regards, Ina

Great action and animal shot. I would have liked to have seen a bit more room in front of the lead dog, but moving like they do, sometimes I realise you don't have a choice :) Pat

johancharles boers   {K:4292} 3/13/2006
Dave,

Another really nice capture here...however I would look at croping off a little bit off the left so as to take the guy out and a little bit off the top...but again another nice capture.

Best Wishes,
Chuck

Dave Stacey   {K:120377} 3/13/2006
Hi Chuck, thanks for the comments! I think you're right about cropping off the left side, I left the sun in just for the effect at the top.
Dave.
