I prefer the black and white version as well. It has a more "Portrait" look to it. Know what I mean? If you are going to photoshop it, I would work on the b/w one. The back of the man's arm and his hand look a bit bright on my monitor. But I think it's nice.

Hi Helen, thanx for your useful comment. Indeed, I believe the B&W is nicer. It has already been photoshoped, since the original was color.
The back of the man's arm is a bit washed out indeed, not just on your monitor. Those are small details I have to learn to care of when setting up my lights.
Next upload will improve on that ! ;-)

The skin on the color version looks yellowish and there are exposure problems everywhere. Look at this 1 minute fix for both.

i wish more people posted constructive and interesting criticism like yours. The reason I post here is to learn. I already have my grandma to tell me how beautiful my images are! ;-)
I suppose you used selective color for the correction? With exposure problems, do you mean the strong highlights which appear on the man's face and the back of the left arm?

People don't post fixes like these cause they don't know...
i used a combo of hue and selective. Skin has yellow and red on it. Usually the cyan slider on the yellow channel in selective color can correct skin tones fairly well. THen try the highlight/shadow adjustments and u will be very happy.
Try to turn the top image into the bottom image... If u can do it, you are ready for anything! HEHEHE
