About I did not know this couple, and there is no one to ask about whom they were. But I decided to use my newly found "skills" at restoration on P/S.
The original was made probably about 1946.

Nice restoration, though I haven't seen the original. A precious moment from the past.

Their expressions are not the typical smiles you see in today's snapshots,huh?!..LOL..like the toning and with the exception of the blown-out shirt, you did a good restoring job,Chuck...of course you can't do much to change what is already too overexposed...love vintage cars/trucks and would be cool to see that one behind them...regards,gayle

Chuck,

You did a wonderful job regarding the restoration my friend. I tried it on a couple of my Mom and Dad... They suck, but maybe you could help by sharing your info?

Thank you,

Martin

i WILL BE GLAD TO TELL YOU SOME THINGS ABOUT RESTORATION. ALL YOU NEED IS SCANNER AND PHOTOSHOP THREE AT $115.
I WILL TELL YOU MORE ASAP

Chuck,

I will be waiting?

Martin

Chuck Freeman   {K:13395} 4/5/2006
Thanks for waiting. I certainly have a lot to learn myself.
First: Get a good scanner
Next: I suggest Photoshop Elemements Three.
A good computer of course
Scan old image, place scan into "my Documents."
Some scanners scan at 200 dpi, but on elements three i always resize to 74 dpi 6.75 x 4.65. Thayt will allow you to upload on to most sites.
The "secret is using a good color saturation ( obtainable from Photoshop three) and then use Filters as you see fit and make your own combo.
It is easy, once you learn. Get someone to instruct you if possible.
It has taken me some instruction and hours of trial and error to learn what "little" I know about Photoshop. Do not be afraid to use "spot healing" as needed for touching up.
Hope this helps. Keep in contact.
