oohhh, i like it, i like it so much!

mag-lite light looks like another magical odd flower in front of the beautiful an sensual lily.

great detail and pleasant warm colors.

best regards,

eleonora

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59903} 3/2/2006
I think the light you used works well here, the curved posing lines meet the dito on the flower, creating a interaction and diagonal happeing ;D

The smooth light on the flower is very nice

Thank you very much Jeanette!

I have to tell you, I'm sick of taking pictures in my little marco world. Today, I go back to my roots of city photography. I had to come in to work today for the morning, so the rest of the day is 'jeanette inspired' san francisco images.

cheers!

Extremely tight work across the portfolio - I'm going to "associate" you if you don't mind and keep tabs on your work.

Amazing detail - long exposure with high F-stop - all done while waving a light source from different angles. I know of one other artist who does this for more abstract work, but this is great - has the overall effect of really soft lighting - essentially making a direct hard light softer and ambient.

Michael

Joel Aron   {K:14920} 3/14/2006
Michael,

Thank you very much, and I don't mind at all to be an associate, in fact I'm flattered!

Thank you very much for looking at my portfolio, and your comments on the collection.

Painting with light has slowly become a passion, and I would love to see this other artists work that you mentioned.

I love your whole spread of images from the flower that is your FPD award. A very beautiful, and solid presentation!

thank again!
-Joel

Since you are an experimental guy, you might want to peek at:

Kostas Tzanetos, nightrides and long exposures.
jude - multiple low light exposures, abstraction.

Joel Aron   {K:14920} 3/14/2006
Holy shnikies!!! Thank you Michael! Both are very amazing photographers! You see that 13min f/22 from Kostas of the side of his car going down the street? *insane*

Jude has outstanding and solid portfolio! Amazing body of *fine* work! I love how abstract, and connected every image is!

Thanks so much for blowing my mind wide open with new photographers!

cheers,
-Joel

Michael Kanemoto   {K:22103} 3/14/2006
No problem -

Looks like your architectural abstracts are already connected to Jeanette Hägglund. There are others I can suggest, but you can add these folks as associates or friends and get inspired.

Since you seem to be connected with the film industry I thought the nightdrive photos would inspire you to grab a suction mount and cruise around with a super wide lens. Kostas has not done the work in a while since his car was totalled, and I can't afford the mount nor losing the camera off my car.

Joel Aron   {K:14920} 3/14/2006
Yes, Jeanette has been pushing me to try harder with every shutter plunge. She has been such a great help and inspiration over the last few weeks! Thank you for pointing me to her work a long time ago!

Kostas totaled his car.. I hope the camera/lens was ok!

I have thought about a car mount, but like you, I would rather do that with a camera that I'm about to throw away or upgrade!

thanks again Michael. you're amazing source for inspiration!

cheers,
-Joel
