Grainy, but this enhances its almost documentary character, at least for me. Gonçalo, my thoughts go directly to women with almost no rights in many parts of the world. Perhaps too interpretative here, but it is a photo that screams for interpretation.

thank you Nick. You are not totally wrong, me and this woman lived for a while in Israel and we learned there things from the islamic culture like the way a woman dresses that inspired this picture :) and although there in israel women are free in many parts of the world is not like that... and mostly parts with fundamentalists...

These are lips of of a woman from Poland, not from Portugal... Very nice strong tones and contrast, excellent way to show a female face without her eyes. Very good portrait!
