It is great in B&W. The light reflecton on the lantern adds to its beauty & makes it shiny

I like a lot the contrast
between the upper right
detailed corner &
lower left dark one !
great in B&W tones.

I really like the perspective here Yayha. And the focus on the lantern is good...the dof pops it right out. Maybe just a tad overexposed in the upper right? This is a very eye catching image.

Hey Suse, nice to hear from you again. and thank you for the kind comment. you are right about the over exposed area at the upper right corner, but i thought at these settings the lantern is at its perfect exposure, and as it is the main element of interest here i felt it is ok to be over exposed. could go for selective leveling though, but i usually use it only with skies in b/w photos.
again i am very glad to here from you after my long time away :)
have a nice week :)

Another excelent shot. I must have missed this shot when you posted it but to make a belated comment, I like the chain as an interesting texture and line adorning the lamp. Most of all I like the composition with it's large negative space, showing the darkness that will be lit by the lamp. A subtle story-telling image. Well done Yahya.

Regards,
Mark
