Hi Laurie. Suitable title to a brilliant picture. I like the ripples in the water and the overall tonality here. Also the rainstripes from the skies far left.

The two dark area at fore and background made this composition absolutely a marvelous, as the thick clouds seems still raining,
good work of texture and tone.
Superb

You had a great time with this storm, didn't you Laurie. I hope you didn't get caught in it. Nice series. Cheers, Ann.

So moody indeed Laurie, you really captured the mood!! The tones and lighting are perfect!! I can see the rain coming down, on the left, right? I would have been worried about my camera. I like the strong contrasts of light and dark, very powerful image..hugs!!

Linda,
It was stormy for most of the day, but somehow I managed to stay dry the entire day. Just lucky I guess! :)

Anson Moye   {K:3403} 3/14/2006
Laurie: How foreboding, threatening, and dark can you get! Great mood, and for a boater it scares me to death! The use of dark negative space is very effective, and makes this picture. Something I would not like to face, but a superb image. Anson
