About A bit of a cliche, but a koala up a tree is a pretty Australian image. (Oh, by the way, its just a koala, not a koala bear as it is sometimes described)

Aw but he is cute! The color, light and details are all good. Wonderful symbol of Australia!

Hi Ayhan - yes they do look sweet, but have been known to pee on celebrities holding them for a photo shoot :)

Bruce Harper   {K:5305} 3/13/2006
Thanks for the positive comment Rashed

Bruce Harper   {K:5305} 3/13/2006
Thanks Meldijana, it was taken in a Koala sanctuary so it was actually on the branches of a dead tree in its enclosure. The eucalyptus leaves are brought in fresh each day for them to feed on.

Thanks Laura, yes they do look cute don't they. They've got good claws though so I wouldn't want to upset one!

Thank you,Bruce, for the explanation. It is very interesting,so it eats mostly eucalyptus leaves,no fruit or other plants. They are really very cute, although I was always wondering how they can stay all the time on the trees.Well, there are also some other species with such characteristic, nature is beautiful with so many different kind of plants and animals.
Kind regards
Meldijana

Thanks Judi, they're coming in at over 1000 per week so maybe there'll be more Queenslanders here in the future :)

Nice job on your web site by the way.
