CONGRATS! What was the theme you worked with here then? I´m curious!!! Nicely perspective shooting here, the low one...and the emptiness, colours and abstract feel! I like it!!!

Thanks Jeanette - Perhaps an explanation of the kind of competition will help. A route, similar to something like a car rally is marked out on a map with 15 points at which the photographers need to shoot the same subject (e,g, Old buiding, transmission pylon, lane of trees etc.) each photographer has to load a 20 exposure slide film of which the first shot must be of him/herself for ID purposes. You have 19 shots left of which at least one scene at each point has to be covered. The four shots spare can be used as a 2nd, 3rd or 4th shot at anyone of the scenes. You get 5 minutes per scene and a set time based on the distance between each point, calculated at a traveling speed of 50km/h. for every minute late or early apoint is distracted from the total photo score. A tthe end the films are handed in, developed by the competition committee and judged by three independend judges. Preizes are given for best shots at 3 predetermined points, best shot overall and best total overall. The photo "Yellow door" won two prizes one for the best shot at the point with the theme red and yellow (some guys were actually busy painting the wall and the logo of the company and everybody concentrated on the people painting, I was the only one that went for this angle and subject and thus won because my photo was totally different) and the main prize for the best photo overall. We got sponsors from local business for the prizes while they got exposure in the local newspaper. This is really a very exiting kind of competition with lots of fun and creativity and worthwile to try out at your local club. Regards.
Joggie
