Beautiful light , colours and frame
best regards

jacques brisebois   {K:57322} 3/13/2006
I really like your lovebirds pic and the loving cats too. Gret composition and light in this one, maybe a little bit overexposed, but the expression of the infinity of the sea is nice.

Jose Ignacio (Nacho) Garcia Barcia   {K:92077} 3/14/2006

Jaques:
Thanks so much for your comments. I also was concerned about the overexposure (a tad bit of it) that seems to be problematic on the left side. To counter that, however, I lost too much of the rest and ended with more silhouette than I wanted. This view, as you mention, shows better overall and does, indeed, emphasize the immensity of the sea . . . which draws attention to the comparison with a sole human figure.

Gabriel Fuentes   {K:6565} 3/18/2006
There's a photo-story here: the steps marked in sand tells us the woman changed course to wade into the cool water, she stands still amidst the breaking waves, while the warm bright light above left breaks the symmetry. The frame makes it work for me, it's as if I'm peeking out from a stained-glass window. Nicely put together Doyle!

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99839} 3/19/2006
Thanks for the kind words Gabriel . . . nuch appreciated.

7/7 definitely.
Great framing, beautiful colors, fantastic landscape.
It really looks like someone opened the window to somewhere.

Keep up with the good work Doyle.

I also want to thank you for your "original" comment on my photo >Father & Daughter<.

Melisa Meyers   {K:9541} 3/28/2006
Gorgeous seascape colors! I like the frame - it creates a "looking out the window" feel.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99839} 3/28/2006
Thank you Melisa! I appreciate your comment very much. Apparently more people like the frame than dislike it so I think I made the right choice.

This image is fantastic. The composition and clarity are prominent, footprints and frame included to make this an outstanding photograph.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99839} 4/12/2006
Thanks for the comment Louis . . . although some have disliked the frame . . . most seem to like it. I love the whole thing (wife included).

Regards,
Doyle I <-----

Lisa G   {K:18529} 7/6/2006
Another great job framing this image.

Great composition. Some people don't like the rays of light on the lens, but I do, especially here.

Love the footprints in the sand.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99839} 7/6/2006
Thank you Lisa . . . I agree . . . on rare ocassions the solar flares add value and this (IMO) was one of them. I appreciate all your time and comments on my PF. It seems we're almost neighbors!!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~
