About A late afternoon reflection. Not spectaularly different than similar shots elsewhere, but quite a pleasant moment it was. ISO 800

Thanks Amy, I'm glad you enjoyed this shot. We see so many of these calm water reflection shots, and I don't know that there is anything special about this one and I didn;t post it for a long time for that reason. But in looking at it the other night I was remembering what a peacefullly calm moment this was just before sunset early last fall, and nso I decided to post it anyway. Glad ya liked it.

Idyllic image of a tranquil locale. Great reflections and the composition is good. I'm curious about the 800 ISO which seems a bit high. I would have assumed a 200 or less ISO would have been ideal although it seems clearly the picture didn't suffer any . . . great colors.

Thank you for your comment Doyle. As to the ISO, This one was shot early last fall and I don't quite remember now specifically if I set the ISO for this shot or if I simply picked up the camera and shot, forgetting to set the ISO. Given the shutter/aperture setting (1/125 @ f8) I suspect the latter.

Fortunately the Canon 350D is generally forgiving of such errors as it has a fairly low noise component, particularly with this much light. I also frequently use Noise Ninja noise reduction software in post processing.
