It MUST be a good photo if I feel pain just looking at that 'smile'. Awesome!

Phillip,

ini foto Ibu yang sangat bagus.

Orang Jawa bilang, "One picture speaks thousand words" (Java or English, :) just kidding)

Precious! I'm going to smile no matter what!

You've caught a great photo that appears very natural. You've brought her out quite nicely.

Nice shot.

I have just got back from malaysia and have taken some portraits but I obviously have a lot to learn...your are 1000 better.

I had problems with strong light and everybody standing in the shade creating silohetes.

Dennis, the key to good portraits over there where the skin is a bit on the dark side is to shoot them in open shadow or overcast conditions. You can use a small strobe for fill flash to put a catchlight in the eyes. As for shooting in sunlight, good luck the contrast is just too high to get the full range of tones so you just loose too much.

terima kasih banyak

I know what you mean but when I tried to shoot them in shadow I ended up with high light area's in the shot too.

I posted a Malay Girk in sepia...hope you like it.
