LEONARDO!!!! I love all of your pictures, Cuba seems on them as a paradise in this universe...but this one IS THE BEST!!
I like the way how he keeps cigar and look to the camera. He knows that he is the boss here :)Once again great black and white...
I dream once to have a small house on Cuba and sit outside the house, smoking such a cigar...ou, that is great...

Amazing! When I see this image, I am reminded of why I consider photography to be such a great form of art! What a portrait! I especesially like your subject's earthy, tough, portrait framed by the fancy curves of the ironwork. Very balanced. Very real. Also, shot from the perfect angle. I would love to see a big print of this! Love your work.

it's perfect! the man has posed very naturally. i like the way he's keeped the cigarette between his lips and its shadow in his neck. through his eyes and the way he is looking down i feel he is so proud! it's great in B&W!

Você tem toda razão Gilberto. Eu mesmo, hoje, fiquei reparando no ângulo e me perguntando porque o "sujeito" está mais alto do que eu... Não me lembrava de ter abaixado para fazer a foto... Depois é que percebi ser um detalhe da Rollei. Lógico, colocamos a câmera na barriga ou na cintura...
Por mais que eu tenha adorado usar essa Rolleiflex, hoje faz apenas 1 ano que a uso (sim, ganhei de anivewrsário ano passado, da minha esposa...). Acho que ainda tenho muito a aprender com médio formato.

a tech question, Leo: in order to obtain this contrast, do you work in chemical (development) process (e.g: more agitation) or do you make digital postprocessing (e.g: lum/contrast panel) ??
