An excellent environmental portrait, Keith! I like the dramatic lighting, and detail of here hands on the instrument.
Dave.

Beautiful. I normally dislike a portrait if I can't see the speculars in both eyes. But this is a good example of a possible exception to that rule. Although, I would like to see a little more light on the dark side of the face, as well as a little less light on that left arm. Your eye goes to the brightest part of aphoto and mine are pulled to that spot which takes away from the impact of the lovely light on the face. But, that is just nitpicking. A lovey portrait overall, and very saleable as an art piece for a family's wall. Well done!

Browsing through your portfolio I am staggered by your versatility. This is a wonderful portrait... although you were obviously pushing against the limits of the dynamic range available. Just a little more shadow detail might have been nice, but the present dramatic side-lighting uses the high contrast to great advantage. Splendid!
