Great picture. I would like to see the hand a little darker as it is lighter than her face and draws attention more than the face. How about a vignette in front of the lens? Great color and exposure.

Nice effort Phillip, but nothing about this photo makes it "POP" for me. It doesn't grab my attention.
Her nose is a bit on the large side, so I might have shot her from another angle to reduce the size of her nose.
I don't like the position of the hand with the thumb missing...it looks awkward.
The detail in the scarf is nicely captured, but I might have chosen one without sequins...the reflections are bit distracting.
She could have done a better job on her makeup. Specifically, the eye makeup is lacking quite a bit.
Yes, this is a harsh review, but it is honest and ONLY my opinion for what it's worth. Too many people just sit back and say..."oh, nice!" What does that tell ya? Nothing.

Thanks everyone for your comments and observations.
Intersting thing about her hand. I took her hand and cut it, and downsized in PS, and placed it back in front of her. It looked a little larger than I wanted to see it. I took the burn tool, and added some shadow on the scarf near her arm. She also had a diamond ring on her hand which I took off in post production.
Don't know about her nose though John ;) That's her nose, and it looked the same from either direction. Since lights were already setup, I shot if from that angle. With regard to makup, shes just your average working girl. Not a model, just a bridesmaid I met at a wedding I was shooting. You can also see her in the red formal shots in my portfolio.
These were my first attempts at a scarf style shot. The next round will be alot better..... I don't have a wide variety of scarfs, but that will change. Matter of fact, the other scarf that was used was in a pile of stuff, that I had even forgot about.
