Hello Suriani, this isn't perhaps the "Zaanse Schans"
in Holland, is it? Great shot with the reflection of the mill in the water.
Good luck,

Klaas

The picture and the colors look great, but the picture is not sharp enough. Also the soft borders are redundant here because it crops away a great deal of the picture. The reflection of the mill for instance is cut by the edge, I would prefer to see it in total. Also a nice details are the people on the picture, but they are also cut off now. Could have been a great shot, if panned a little to the left and hadn't softened the edges.

A superb photo Suriani... I wish you posted it in a larger size.
Bravo,
Khaled.

Hello Klaas,

Yes, it is the Zaanse Schans in Holland. I was there the first time in Sept 2003. I was backpacking with my son who was 15mths old then. I was very lucky to have good weather adn take many good photos. I might go back to to your country again one day and perhaps visit different places.

Hello Marco,

Thank you for your comment. Like you, I also prefer honest photography. With this photo, I was just playing around with the photoshop. Normally, I never adjust any of my photos. What you see is what you get. Luckily, I have the original still ;)

Thank you Khaled, yes, I wished the same too. However, you know the size requirements. Et voila!

Thanks Suriani for your reaction, here i have a good tip for your next visit to our country. When you do, you must visit the open air "Zuiderzee Museum" in Enkhuizen. I think you like it even more than the Zaanse Schans. A lot of old fishershouses, a steamcleaner from the beginning of the 20th century, windmill, old chalcburning ovens and lots more to discover and ofcourse photograping al of it. You need a day to see and photograph this all.
When you have any questions when that day becomes reality, you can always ask for more tips, because there is a lot to see.

Have a nice weekend,

Klaas
