About Old school/work building photos put together. Trying to portray a haunting dream I can't quite fully remember. Knew I was there but not quite! Not sure why (red coat?), it reminded me of the film "Don't Look Now". Good job Freud not here to analyse me! Might be safer to get back to cleaning the fridge after all!

Leave me strong

Leave reality or dreams

Light leaves

Leaving cloud shadows

Leaving four seasons

Leaving work behind

Always leave notes

Leave ghosts

Leave you no hair!

I try to think what has happened to that red circle ?
It is a strange image.
Make me a headache not because of the ghost just because what I am looking at!

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/24/2006
Yes, dreams do tend to be a bit strange sometimes! So I hope your head is better!

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55404} 3/24/2006
Actually I find it so beautiful this image of your dream. Nice shades of green and reflection, great angles. Lend me your dream!:-)
Best wishes,
Annemette

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/24/2006
Thanks for looking and writing. Glad you found it beautiul and not spooky! I'm very pleased to discover your great images....and you are a poet? Good to hear- I like writing too and sometimes can't keep a few words out of my pictures! Your words "lend me your dreams" are lovely.

vanessa shakesheff   {K:65070} 3/24/2006

Thanks for looking and writing Vanessa- glad that you liked it- it is a bit spooky! (Ta for reminding me to defrost the fridge- I had forgotten!)

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/25/2006
Thanks Trish- funny old picture- hope it doesn't give you nightmares!

stingRay part 2 .   {K:148553} 3/25/2006
Hi Mary.....this is a wonderful ghostly shot with excellent details and colours to be seen. The ghost is awesome and your thoughts of 'Don't Look Now' are spot on. Well done to you my dear. Very best wishes as always....Ray

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/25/2006
Good to hear you as always Ray- thanks for looking. Glad the film that came to mind makes sense to someone besides me!

Dave Stacey   {K:120446} 3/25/2006
Great perspective shot, Mary, and beautiful colours from the stained glass. You've done well at putting this one together!
Dave.

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/25/2006
Thanks for looking and writing Dave. I liked the look of the stained glass better than trying to learn angles and things!

Ace Star   {K:20559} 3/25/2006

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/25/2006
Thanks Ace- it gives me a strange feeling too! Not sure I actually like the image! It was just a strange bit of a dream I had. Best to be rid of!

Quix Photography   {K:20204} 3/25/2006
I love this image Mary... and the reflection of the child in red does add a very haunted feel. Really like the symmetry in this & how the arrow is pointing both up & down... plenty of glass too... maybe Freud would say this photo is a window to your soul (& usually he would go on probably to say you feel inferior & want your masculine side to come out roflmao) But Freud is not here... and maybe your dream is telling you there is a great openess about you you've yet to discover... in the end.. you are the best one to analyse yourself.

Keep well & bright
Quix xx

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/25/2006
Thanks for looking and writing Quix. Much appreciated. I will definitely go with your analysis rather than Freud's!

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59974} 3/25/2006
Excellent work Mary - i like this "corridor" feel, but isn´t a corridor and i feel locked in here. AS the green glass is beautiful and i can enjoy i´m also confined with a person moving around in a red coat. Interesting indeed and i think you succeded well :)

jeanette

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/26/2006
Thanks for looking and writing Jeanette- I appreciate your thoughts. Feeling "locked in" is exactly the way I felt in this dream!

Mark Sherman   {K:15520} 3/26/2006
the hallway that doesn't end, the bottom feels as if I were to put my hand to touch it would ripple out as if water, the red coat, a subtle and possible? reminder to little red riding hood?

Len Webster   {K:22402} 3/26/2006
Effective composite. Well done.

Czeslav Gavinkovski   {K:7220} 3/27/2006
THE BEST!bravo for light and perspective!
Czeslaw.

Anson Moye   {K:3473} 3/27/2006
Another haunting image, Mary, which leads the imagination into so many directions. A reflection really isn't. Is there someone looking back at me from one of the lockers? Is that a cross, an arrow, or both? What does the red sphere mean? Captivating. Very well done indeed. Anson

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/27/2006
Good to hear from you Anson- thanks for looking and writing. Much appreciated. Can't say I exactly like this picture! As you say, it is haunting. It is indeed a cross on my old convent school window. What it all really means is probably best not to find out!

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/27/2006
Thanks Czeslav- glad it wasn't too spooky!

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/27/2006
Thanks Len for looking and writing- glad you liked it.

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/27/2006
Thanks for writing Mark- little red riding hood here- see what you mean- that was always spooky to me just like this picture.

luis pereira   {K:18790} 3/27/2006
Great image Mary. I have no idea how you got it but it certainly looks like something out of a dream or a faded memory. I love to read your notes and look at the image. You're a very complex person.

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/27/2006
Thanks for looking and writing Luis....now what makes you think I am complex?! I like a laugh and pretending I'm daft...I find out more! Seriously, this is exactly that, a haunting dream I had. get Maximum use out of it to learn things on the computer- very handy!

Mark Sherman   {K:15520} 3/27/2006
Quite the movie Mary, read a couple reviews and given this picture will try to find it.

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/28/2006
Hope it is not too sad a movie for you Mark- I can't remember it all but it haunts- just woke up from this dream thinking of it- something to do with the red I think. Be interested to know what you think.

George Black   {K:101993} 3/30/2006
Certainly an attractive, slightly disorienting image. It communicates the feeling of a dreamscape very well, indeed.

Best wishes,
--George

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 3/30/2006
Thanks for looking and writing George- you're not wrong- it is very spooky!

Absolutely exciting composition with splendid feeling.
The details and colours are amazing, love the
very striking perspective. Great simple ornaments
but really impressive. Another fine abstract from
you, dear Mary!

Thanks Morad for looking and writing- much appreciated and glad you like it.

Jinggoy Montenejo   {K:7549} 6/29/2006
I know what you mean. Sometimes a dream just haunts us and we try to convey it through some image that we see. This is a good abstract. I personally like this composition over the other.
Great shot!

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 6/29/2006
Thanks Jinggoy- I enjoyed doing this one- bits of my old place of work I could put together- easier to me with hammer and nails though!

Ian Miller   {K:7909} 7/10/2006
Great Abstract Perspective, nice colours and draws the eye temptingly, onwards. Well Done! Can't wait to show you some of mine From Prague. ;-)

Thanks so much Fabrice for looking at these. Glad you liked this- my old school twisted about!

Sam Andre   {K:12556} 6/17/2007
It's a great picture full of (unspoken) symbolism and mysterious atmosphere. Specially the red coat. What a movie that is...

Mary Slade   {K:40918} 6/18/2007
Many thanks Sam- your comments much appreciated.
