Regarding the Hejob the girl is wearing, it is more then an Islamic scarf, the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Catholic faith, wore it more then a thousand years before Islam. It was the custom dress for women of that time period in that part of the world. BTW, the girl in your picture is absolutely beautiful! You managed to capture her lovely eyes and smiling lips!

My friend, you captured that thing, that makes me so cynical at times, and you captured it with a portion of humor that could be the best way to face such silliness instead of anger.

Oh, but of course I am one, I have a heavy camera in my bag, which can be thrown to hit somebody, and also many lenses, one of them could be used as a club. And not to forget my terrible weapon, my swiss army knife - geeeeh! Oh man, it has scissors and screw drivers - I tell you, I am worse than terminator!

So, Nick had his cynical protest time, let's go on for the picture ;-)
The picture is technically very good, but what I like most is its composition, which is... completelly normal everyday life, and nothing special! But exactly this is the only way for a demonstration of the absurdity that the title describes: Average city, average people, with all their troubles and sorrows, trying to grow their children, having to work like mad, you know...
But no, look at her, that pretty girl can't be average because she wears that strange thing on her head! She has to be a terrorist even if she doesn't know that. I hope the press will have the grace to inform that unlucky person about that, or else she will never know!
So much that can be made clear with a simple photo that shows nothing special. Much ado about nothing, as gentle Bill has once said.
Thank you Kambiz, for this photo! I hope that the absurdity of the current situation in this reign of fear and mistrust will be soon gone.

Just returned from that sunny place! What sympathetic friendly people, I tell you! But they had to send me away, since all... rooms were filled up and booked for the next two centuries!

Somehow the expression on the faces of these Guys, or even the Girl's expression, doesn't suggest in the least that they're asking her if she's a Terrorist. Hi, Kambiz -
I didn't lose the point. Just felt the comments were tending to be a bit on the heavy side.. especially bearing in mind the fact that there are countries where she would be criticised for wearing the make-up. (Incidentally, as you may know, wearing make-up was frowned on or condemned outright by Protestant Christians until relatively recent times.)
An important point is that, like animals, people will always look for any excuse to pick on someone perceived as being 'outside the pack'. If it isn't terrorism, it's some other trumped-up charge!

Thanks, Kambiz. I have been following this story closely in the news. It is being well reported by both the BBC and NPR (here in the States).
The thing about trust and respect is that they must be earned.
It would be convenient if all the bad people in the world had horns for instance, but as it happens they look exactly like all the rest of us.
