Felicitaciones!

Susie OConnor   {K:34798} 3/25/2006
This is a beautiful shot Lori. The focus, lighting and detail are outstanding. I think I would prefer it without the outside green border, but that's just me! ) Very nice post.

Paul Lara   {K:76987} 3/25/2006
Wow, this is really sharp and strong, Lori.

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47515} 3/25/2006
I like the way you capture this plant, the repeating of the foliages at the background does enhances the composition along with the light coming through the leaves shows the hidden details.
well executed green work.
Regards
Saeed

Nice lighting, shining through the leaves. Now I take all kinds of flack for putting the main colors of the photo into the frame. How do you get away with it?? :)

Dave

Well....I notice that someone didn't exactly care for it! I usually don't use quite this much, but do always use main colors somewhere in the frame. (usually a thin line.......)
Thanks, Dave, glad you liked this one!
L:)

I'll tell you how you get away with it and I don't.... you are much better lookin' than me, that's how.... LOL

In the thumbnail, the photo looks very promising, very alluring with the green. But when you open it up, the green of the plant doesn't seem as vivid as what the thumbnail suggests. Not that I don't like the green frame, I do. And it is something that I may well have chosen myself. But looking through a critical eye, I can see where somebody would say that you've mananged to distract from the plant. At tleast, that is what I have been told on a couple of my frames when I use the same colors.

I'm rambling. I'll have to look back because I am still trying to understand color choices. Maybe they were saying I used two opposite (complimentary)colors in the frame when the photo already contained mostly those two colors.

I am so confused. No wonder I keep procrastinating on painting my house. I need another cup of coffee.

Dave

Lori Stitt   {K:74434} 3/26/2006
LOL.......you're so funny Dave! And, not to worry, rambling is FINE! (I do a lot of it myself) I do agree that the amount of green is too much...I SHOULD have cropped the frame down so there wasn't so much of it, but I would still use it. Black would have been OK, but I use black so much I wanted to be DIFFERENT!!

Colors are such a personal thing. I know what you mean about house colors. You wouldn't BELIEVE how long it took me to make up my mind. It was absolutely agonizing! LOL

Have a GR8 Sunday,
Lori :)

Dave Arnold   {K:54676} 3/26/2006
"LOL.......you're so funny Dave! "

Does this mean you'll finally marry me and come paint my house and make my frames?

Lori Stitt   {K:74434} 3/26/2006
OF COURSE, I'll book a flight right away!!!
L:)

Gregory McLemore   {K:24959} 3/27/2006

Emmanuel Panagiotakis   {K:7550} 3/27/2006
The fist think you see in this nice picture is the light coming through the leaves, and looks grate. And your DOF with f/3.5 Aperture, it is excellent I cant believe it. The last think finishes this photo nicely is the frame
Lori as you know on a picture, it is not only the way you capture it, it is how you going to presented also. And i think you did an excellent job here with both
Your friend Emmanuel

Lori Stitt   {K:74434} 3/27/2006
