Seeing the series actually some time we do encounter some phenomena of nature attractive, the most interesting elements within that scene definitely the salt which gives the idea of a lake, more than the scene it self which is rather classic composition(image #1).
The vibrant mirage colour at the foreground that has Mother Nature produced, gave you and comply with your wishes in having such rare result and work.
Well spotted subject, and well executed work.

Hi Ann, the pretty looks of this place can be quite deceiving.... I've read they measured temperatures upto 134F in this part of the world, and virtually no rain all year. Pretty devilish, I'd say...:)

Thanks for your feedback. I quite agree, it's a classic type of composition, with the salt (instead of water) to add the element of surprise, yet, to me, the lighting (especially in part I) is also a feature. Good to hear from you again!

this shot, perfectly describe that harsh environment proper of DV...
i was been there in AUG '03 with my wife Eleonora Frago: wonderful out-of-this-world landscape; a true inferno on earth!
i'll never forget; just one minute out of the car to take a pic of Badwater, and my EOS 1V got so hot that i couldn't able to keep in my hands...
and there was no water! uhmm i'm pretty sure that we was been there in the wrong season..mhmhmh

Hi Davide! Amazing place, isn't it? When we were out there in february, the temperatures seemed to be sub zero / freezing, but I've heard the stories about 134F /56C degree days. Incredible, but I can imagine what it must've been like! We went to Badwater too, and although there was some water in it, I'm told the water level is slowly diminishing...

Very nice capture of this arid landscape. The time of capture really brought out the whites of the salt & like how it leads the eye to the mountains in the back, well composed Hugo.
