About These working men had obviously been drinking to take the edge off their weariness. The man opposite kept making the most amazing faces at me, and eventually I got out my mobile phone, thinking he might stop, and was prepared for him to be cross. But no, he seemed to enjoy it... So I ended up taking a photo!

A wonderful moment and a novel insight into private behavior in a public place. The ubiquitous camera phone is surely changing how we see things and how we behave, don't you think?

Best regards,
--George

Another good catch, Roger.
Just for kicks, I did an experiment and analysed what appears to be two different emotions with this guy. I've heard of bipolar disorder, but this looks like simultaneous bipolarity!

Split and Reversed

Wow, Jim, that really makes the contrast clear, doesn't it! Fascinating... He was definitely aware of my camera/phone, and had been making faces before, so I have no idea what emotions he was experiencing. Except that they were probably MIXED. [grin] Today I'm off to Chidorigafuchi...

Well, George, the mobile phone camera has certainly changed the way *I* behave. I would never, EVER have held my camera up to my eye and snapped someone sitting in the opposite seat, but somehow no-one seems to mind the phone, and there's less of a psychological barrier on this side.

Ah, so you have met me Roger:):). Seriously, this is a lovely candid shot my friend and you are getting great use out of your phone. I wonder if the guy with the bowed head is saying to himself 'never again'. Well done Roger, a wonderful humourous capture. Best wishes to you....Ray
