Thanks Meldi . . . these birds vary in color even amongst themselves (black / red on head, purple / white on breast, any combination could occur). The beak will go solid black when the little guy's ready to mate. Nature was kind to male birds, giving them some wondrous colors. Thanks for commenting Meldi.

True enough Ellen though this isn't a typical cage as much as an aviary. You can walk around in it and the door is 6 feet tall! I just walked toward one of the walls to get the shot...incidentally both shots were taken in the same aviary so you can see what the DOF does for the clutter!! Thanks for commenting Ellen!
