Andre, I always prefer color over B&W and sometime I'm thinking why people still do B&W when color expressions are so natural to our vision senses and so much easy now in digital and/or film format. Nostalgia, maybe what it is about as me to still like to express some subjects in plain B&W but there are a lot of other monochrome tones to compete with tradicional sepia and tonal B&W in the monochrome area.
Hey, what I'm trying to say here Andre is that I like your picture for the colors and a greatfull, very composition focused macro. Cheers, n.j

Andre Denis   {K:55925} 3/28/2006
Thanks Andrzej,
Many years ago, I started with B&W and I still enjoy working in B&W. In a lot of cases, here I have posted a colour and B&W version of the same image. Some might lend themselves better to one format or the other. But usually I end up liking both :)
For me, it is like comparing Apples to Oranges. They are both good to eat, just different :)

Very pretty Andre. Amazing the difference between the color and the b/w. I can't decide which I like better. I like the lighting, it's a real contrast between light and dark from the upper to the lower and right to left. Nice diagonal line too! Lots to look at.

Thanks Susie,
It's like I was saying to Andrzej... it's an apples and oranges kind of thing. I think it's okay to appreciate both colour and B&W without picking favourites. Some people do though. Myself, I think I will always have a soft spot for B&W.

Wonderful capture of the lines in the leaves, Andre, and the colour is truly fantastic!
Dave.

Thanks Dave,
I thought I should post at least one colour version for reference to the previous two.

Andre Denis   {K:55925} 3/29/2006
Thanks Manu,
I did post a couple of B&W toned versions similar to this one that I was pretty happy with too. Some prefer colour, some B&W :)

Great macro, Andre! Now THIS one is a strong image! The lines, the lighting, and the frame are all great! I really like this one! (I liked it in b&w, also)
Kathy

Andre Denis   {K:55925} 3/29/2006
Thanks Kathy,
This one is pretty bold as far as the colour is concerned. I don't usually go so strong with the colour. I'm sure someone will eventually comment that this is TOO green :)
