Hi Mike,

Are you trying to lure me into commenting on florals? I still beleive ithis is one of the better photos of the 24 you posted earlier, but on closer inspection, its a bit softer than I imagined.

The translucent light trough the petal is very nice though. As to the composition, I think it could've ben a bit stronger if the flower would've had a bit more space to the right; but with the same division of the frame.

I think it's an excellent idea letting others pick the image from a series; Good interaction:)

Cheers,

Hugo

Michael.

Looking at the choices in your '24' pick-n-post, I agree with you on this image. The lines all work so well together. The inside lime green stipe, against the lean of the petal, and the falling core, as if it has more weight than the rest of the elements of the flower.

The diffuse light, picking up the ripples in the lower part of the white petal adds a very nice dash of tension to the flower, and the image.

well done! beautiful lighting!

cheers,
-Joel

This is certainly my favorite of the bunch of them. I'm a little creaped out right now... I took a shot of oneof these flowers in Hawai'i, haven't quite yet finished it, but I titled it "Umbrella". Kinda strange...
