great colors and contrast. Congratulations.

Crisp and cool; almost a tritone. Interesting to see how the hotspot in this one created by the flash and it's flare, normally undesired effects, actually assist in the build-up and composition of this photo. Very nice indeed!

I only wonder if the composition would've been just a tad stronger without the bit of grass in the lower left corner. I think it might concise the view to basically one subject, without distractions; Don't think this image needs another countering diagonal line; as the flares already take care of that.

As usual, a stunning shot!

Cheers,

Hugo

Thanks for the comment Hugo - you made a valid point. My reason for the inclusion of the bottom left grass blade was to echo to a lesser degree the crossing diagonals of the leafblades as reflected in the water drops. Not sure if it worked? Kind regards.
Joggie

Hi Joggie, that's a very valid point, and, looking at it from that point of view, it does work. Funny how it really comes down to how you look at a photo....

I still believe the diagonals refracted in the drops (and that's more the way I looked at it when commenting the first time) create a somewhat chaotic, yet coherent clutter, as if an interwoven web of vines, without a predominant diagonal in it.

Anyway, I don't think its a matter of right or wrong, not even of good and better; both visions would work for me, so that makes it up to you...:) It's your photo, and I can only guess about your intentions!

Cheers,

Hugo

Wonderful, Joggie. I don't know how you are able to get into this surreal world - feels like Christmas to me. The flare works well and is integral, but not essential to the composition.
