Ok, I've been quiet on this site for far too long this time.
As you can see, I've just returned from a photo-trip to the not-so-touristy outer reaches of space. This was the planet where I stayed, the bar-meals were great and the rooms suprisingly airy with a good-sized en-suite.
Now to be honest, a short time back I might have protested about an image like this being uploaded to a photography forum but I swear that this is all photographic. This is made up of 4 photographs taken of the exact same subject and nothing else. I have not artificially rendered any part. I have of course used Photoshop for the composition but used only those adjustments I normally would in any other photograph (levels/curves/sat etc...) except for the distort tool on the 'ring'.
Anyway, it's a bit of fun and an enlightening foray into the world of digital photo-art. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on it!
