Wow, that is a handsome young man! The skin tones are wonderful. I love that expression on his face.

Rashed:
Thanks so much for the comment Rashed. This is my son, of whom I am very proud. I am proud of all my children. One is currently in the 10th Mountain Rangers in Afghanistan (having already served over a year in Iraq). One is in Northern California, and the third boy is still in High School at home (He's the last child still living with me). My only daughter is married, working, and living locally with two grandchildren.

Laura:
Thanks . . . he IS a handsome young man. A leader in the church (and talented band member), a college student (having graduated from High School a year early), and -- you're right . . . a great expression from a natural HAM!

...Doyle I <-----

Just a classic Doyle. A very handsome son. And this could be a timeless portrait. The tones and expression really suit.

Great portrait from your son Doyle, and good lighting too. He's a born photo model, but i suggest he hasn't that from a stranger!!! And no the fonts are not to small, but just good, and nice as well.
Good luck,

Klaas

Klaas:
Thanks for the comments . . . Your well intentioned advice was absolutely correct and I think it's clear that the eye should rest on the composition, not the text. This son is almost impossible to capture on film without him posing . . . natural shots are lost when he sees a camera (Hence the show off pose above). He's very secure and extroverted and would probably act the same whoever has the camera. Thanks again for the advice and comments.

Nichol Rose   {K:1034} 4/6/2006
Nice portrait! The sepia effects raised it to another level.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 4/7/2006
Thanks Nichol! I agree . . . the Sepia blew away the color original.

Doyle I <-----

Ron Wilson   {K:18161} 5/2/2006
Excellent portrait, classic Brandon pose. The sepia tone is really fitting.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 5/3/2006
Thanks Ron . . . I won't mention the Brando pose to him . . . I felt too old already when he said "John who?" after I referred to John Wayne.

Regards,
Doyle I <-----

Michele Carlsen   {K:141878} 8/11/2006
Excellent portrait ! You got his 'eyes' very well and he appears to have a teasing look in them like a bit of fun kind of trouble !
Very Nice Doyle,
Michele~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/14/2006
Thanks Michele . . . he has an amazing sense of humor and can make me laugh so hard I cry . . . (sniff) - Don't know WHERE he gets it! :)

Oh yes, he is a handsome boy! My only daughter has five children...a great joy to me, since I wanted at least four.:) You are greatly blessed!

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 8/23/2006
Thanks Shirley -- soooo true . . . and six grandkids . . . so far. BTW - the grandkids are the blessing . . . thats the reward for the work raising the kids! ;) ....Or as has been said on occasion - Grandkids are our reward for not killing our kids!!
