Do i sense someone falling in love with the square? :) I like the colors and the exposure but it seems just a tad left heavy. Maybe post a crop with this slightly more centered?

Very nice. The colors, the composition, the depth, the sharpness of focal point... Wow !

Looks like you got there at the peak and even beat the Bees to the prize.

Good composition

I feel that the (slight) off-center composition that has been captured allows the image to portray depth.

I feel that direct centered images look flat and are not as well composed. The strength of the petal color is broken by the stamin and pistal (sp?) brilliant yellow.

Using the composition rule of thirds, you have captured a wonderful image of the details of Nature.

Enjoy the beauty of the macro! You'll see a world that you never knew existed.

Mary Sue,

This is beautiful! Your photos show me that I have so much more to learn!

Please see my reply to your request about the new technique I learned.

Okay, you may be the princess of abstracts, but you are the QUEEN of flowers! I missed this one first time around... the colour is vivid & delicate at the same time. Awesome DOF like always!

Congratulations on Photographer of the day Mary Sue! Saw your tag line and thought of Georgia O'Keefe - "I hate flowers. I only paint them because they're cheaper than models and they don't move."

Good for you - John B
