Thank you all! This is the most fun I have ever had taking a photo! Yes, I was in a cage off of Guadalupe Island at the end of breeding season. Hard to guage in the photo, but she was 17 ft. long and about 4000 lbs.

was it scary, or did you feel ok? that shark looks HUGE!! great shot! was it one of those disposable underwater digitals?

It actually really wasnt scary at all (until its side fin got stuck in our cage for a second!) I took the shot with a dedicated underwater digital.. but not a very good one. Oh.. and this shark was 16 feet long and about 4000 lbs. About as big around as a jeep grand cherokee.

oh, tyler - wow!! how many photos did you get? would you buy a different camera, next time, for your underwater adventures? i'd love to see more of your shark photos!! wow. i can't believe she was that big!!
