So have we an instance of someone trying to halt the sea coming in? Or perhaps this is an elaborate rain dance? Surely this guy isn't a live scarecrow or rather scaregull:):):)
I WAS first sweet angel but by the time my two little fingers get this second entry finished goodness knows how far down the line it will go.
Bethells today and Thursday yesterday with Saturday tomorrow:):)...OK I'm sorry but who or what is/are Bethells?
It makes a very interesting composition and I love the silhouetted man on the shoreline. The composition looks amazing in the panoramic format my sweet Rina. The tones are almost monochromatic but have that slight glow of colour in the sky. I love the effect of this. It has obviously been taken at the end or start of the day because the pair of you appear to have this part of the World to yourselves.....how romantic is that. You should have set on self timer and danced gleefully with him.....NO....perhaps not, you'd only get carried away. Well done to you sweetie...I'm off to see the other two posts. Hey!!! I like this image alot and specially the distant you have left for the person to walk through, this is a great composition, I also like the beautiful lighting condition here and this amazing tone, all of the best my friend

Hiya, you made it first AND second!! :) You're on FIRE Ray! You da man! 
Ok, best explain that Bethells is a surf beach on the west coast, just up a little ways from Piha.
In this shot, I think this guy was doing some sort of tai chi???... wouldn't have a clue, but I do know that he was using a taiaha (spear) and going through a series of defensive movements (usually taught to young Maori "warriors"), in the other shot.
He provided me an excellent photo op, eh?! Don't know him from a bar of soap, but he didn't seem to mind me snapping away Although, I think he may have gotten a wee bit upset with me if I'd have started dancing with him!!:)))))
I'm very glad you enjoyed all three of these Ray. It's such a beautiful place, I only hope I do it justice...

I think this is my favorite of the three Rina, although I really like the colored one, also. Good tones here and a nice silhouette. Well done!

nice capture of this man in action, looks like he's doing a shot put from the stance and ray says its a rain dance...: ) nice silhouette composition with this space on the left of the image..

hi ya, beautiful light and nice silhouettes...looks like he may be doing some Tai Chi Chuan moves...good timing and love the cluster of birdies as well as the reflective light on the wet portion of the beach...
