wow!! very very well done, Joggie. the idea is unique. I want to know how your reflection isn`t on the water. great and professional shot. Amir

Joggie van Staden   {K:41275} 4/16/2006
Thanks Amir - the reflections were on the opposite side of the dam from where I was standing. Turned the image on its head and added a 30% Sepia tone photo filter in PS. Regards.

Excellent capture Joggie!! Thanks for your explanation to Amir - before I saw it I sat here and wondered how this was done - wondered where the actual 'bokkies' were. :)
The colour of the water is wonderful - very beautiful capture.
Have a good day
Shirley

That's great, Joggie. What a good idea to just include the reflection. The colours are so clear yet the movement of the water gives everything an almost Hologram effect. Wonderful. Cheers, Ann.

Hi Joggie,

I like the surprising element in this photo; not showing the bonteboks but only their reflection, as I guess most people (including myself) would've done. It manages to pull this photo out of the ordinary, make it stand out abouve the croud. Excellent DoF, too, captureing both the ripples in the water as well as a razor sharp reflection (as far as I can tell in the distortion by those ripples...:)

Very nice indeed! Great to see such a refreshing image once in a while!

Cheers,

Hugo

Simply my favourite image.

Eb Mueller   {K:22715} 4/19/2006
The reflection and positioning of the subjects at the diagonal is very effective. What I particularly like is the presence of the ripples (rain drops?)
