Hi Roger... as usual your 'people' scenes are full of interesting details, lovely colours and a shallow dof to this one. I can remember other great shots with this rather useful lens of yours. Well done to you.

Something went wrong or I have visual stereo my friend....I hope you don't delete this one.

All the very best.....Ray

Nicely done. The dignity of the couple is well captured. Both seem serene and pleasant. Good work . . .

Regards,
--George

A very nice character study and portrayal of a specifically Japanese scene.

This image has popped up twice - I can't spot any obvious differences and guess you might have indicated if this was intentional?

Hello Roger,
this is an image in a perfect "italian neorealism" ... maybe not because not italian faces and because colours but this way to do reportage with this composition is really appreciated.

Bye

GG

John, I REALLY don't know how or why that happened. As far as I am aware I did what I always do. But two got uploaded (yes, identical). I have asked Al/Phil if they can correct this without losing all the critiques... but that may be too much to hope for. [sigh]

Thanks, GG. Strangely enough, Italian neorealism was in the back of my mind. I tried converting to B&W, but finally decided to keep that lovely blue shirt!

Hi Roger,

great street shot and very good detail. a mild pity is that there is a man behind the woman with a cut-off head. anyway, nice work and a view to a world I don't know.

Hi, Thilo. Thanks for visiting, glad you like it. I must plead guilty to cropping the man's head off. There was other stuff along that level that would have distracted from my two main characters... least worse choice, maybe?

Thilo Bayer   {K:50355} 4/24/2006
Hi Roger,

sure! It's just a minor thing I noticed =)

Thilo
