It should be beautiful if you recapture this shot by a black background.
However, I don’t agree completely with Josh. Horizontal texture of background has compensated the vertical texture of violin and it is valuable.

I would not put this onto a black background, in my opinion the warmth in the wood adds to the soft tones of the photograph. I think that the lighting is wonderful. I like the rosen on the violin, we know that it is played and enjoyed. Very nice capture.
