I love to hear whats really on people's minds, especially if something is a miss - like my horizon! I agonised over it at 5am this morning since I cant seem to sleep since I got back. I'll have another go at it with fresh eyes hopefully soon :)Thanks David!

*very well done* !!! I am so happy that you have your new lens! You must be sh*tting, like I did when you first started walking around with it. Heavy chunk of glass that dwarfs em all, and I hope you fall in love with it as I have!
well done with this! You have a great skill for these shots, and you did this skyline proud! ...looking fwd to see what you did in my town :)

I am already madly in love! I went shopping for a smaller tripod before I left, but knew nothing but my hefty manfrotto would cope with the 24-70 lens - so I just dragged it everywhere with me :) I am really excited to show you my SF shots and tempted to post them right away - but I'll keep you in suspence and post in sequence! I have one in particular I know you'll love - we'll see if you can pick it (its so your style) xP

I read your excitement w/ the lens!!! (had to get a new sturdy manfrotto as well:) )
take your time w/ the SF images! and so glad that you had someone to show you around while here! Did you make it over the gg bridge to Marin!? ...whole different place up here. Have to drive in to SF over the bridge every morning... painful stunning view every morning.
