Having taken a photo of the burned vegetation on an area of the New Forest in the South of England, I was just experimenting with levels and contrast in PS Elements. I quite liked this result.

The result is striking and very pleasing.
There does appear to be a little noise along some of the twigs, and I would perhaps crop the black area of sky on the left in order to keep a symmetrical effect. I like the pano format, although when I click on the full size image, the "full size" version is no larger.
