About What is up above you will find below"

A saying that is often true - I am following up on a series on the "Appearance of Rust". This is number 11 in the series.

All photos were taken on subjects in my backyard which are in a natural process of oxidation. Most of it on an old painted 44 gallon drum. My aim is to find patterns, textures and colours that echoes possible scenes from this world and even the universe. So please take on your imaginary glasses and tell me if you see what I saw, or something different or ...nothing at all!

These are all at the super-macro level (magnification ratio of 2:1 and closer). I used my Nikon 105 micro lense with a 2.75X Panagor macro converter. All settings on manual, the built-in flash and /or ringflash on manual, full strength. Not tripod used. All photos are uncropped. All colours are as I found them - the only changes made were adjustments of brightness and contrast.

Everyone sees what he most loves. I see a flower bud with a large leaf against the reflection in a fountain water of a street lampion whose warm light falls on and behind the plant.
Among infinite others images as infinite are human interests.
Ciao Joggie.

Nice combination of the rust red and the jade green with flames flaring across the diagonal divide. Well composed and well seen, Joggie!
