Congrats on the sale of this great looking landscape Susie! You and Kathy should be proud. It is always a big deal when other people think enough of your images to actually pay for them.
It's not the money so much as the fact that they are choosing something that they will most likely put on display in their home! That is a real good thing.
I had something along similar lines happen to me. (except the pay part :)
Last week, my brother was showing my wife and I one of his daughters school projects. It was about the river at our cottage. They picked a couple of my landscapes from last fall to use in the project. I felt great about that! It was a nice surprise to see them in there with her little drawings and cursive writing.

This is a beautifully composed shot with gorgeous colours and a stunning reflection my dear Susie. There are the hot whites, yellow golds, ambers and burnt orange from the sun but the surrounding areas and particularly in the reflection are the most wonder pastel tones. Indeed, hoorey for both of you!!! What a great idea to combine a cafe with a photo exhibition. This one is very moody. Maybe I´d clone out some of the top of the tall straw in the middle, so that it doesn´t touch the border. You girls can be truly proud of your achievements!

Excuse me, but I'm a bit confused... I thought you were a Pro already? Your work is Pro Quality. It's just hard to believe you haven't sold your work before... I have sold a couple of my shots @ work myself, but I really want to go Pro, so very badly.
Cooking is another passion of mine. Do you own your cafe? I have been told many times, that I should open my own restaurant. Too much work IMHO...

We have mostly 5x7's and 8x10's in single mats and simple frames. We have prints available unframed with a single mat. It's been a lot of fun displaying them.

I just came back from my trip, but i am home for just a couple of days more! Will take another month or so before i am back home again. :)
