Another great one. The color is absolutely stunning. Love the shadowing and the black frame. The frame pulls it together and really directs your focus to the shadowing.

Hi Steve, well spotted, and an interesting scene. Good contrast, too. I'm not so sure about the screamingly hard tones of the wall, they seem way oversaturated. Then again, I'm guessing that is what you wanted to achieve. The shot is well composed, though. The off centered placement of the pipes and their shadows filling the rest of the image prevents it from becoming static. Interesting capture, and in reference to your portfolio, I wonder what you'll come up with next: two shadows?
Cheers,
Hugo

A good abstract Steve from a well taken photographic opportunity. I love the strong and rich colours of the bricks with their excellent textures. The straight line set-up of the four subject elements is neatly balanced out with the graduated shadows. Well seen my friend and well composed. All the very best....Ray

This is a real wallpaper shot, Steve. Fantastic details and excellent composed. I once worked in a project for Seattle City Light, so I know some installations in this region;)

Hey, Hugo! I did indeed intend to oversaturate the wall colors. Two shadows, huh? Actually, I had thought of that, but I don't want to be seen as too predictable. Probably later I'll add two shadows. Thanks so much for your detailed comments. I really like them. They always make me think, and thinking is a good thing. Best, Steve

Thanks so much, Markus. Up here we have to deal with Puget Sound Energy, but I don't remember this building ever being in use, and I've lived in Bellingham for 23 years. I'm glad it hasn't been demolished. Best, Steve
