Very dramatic image and great example of photojournalism. Congratulations.

What a sad sight! The image is thought provoking, at least for me. Makes me grateful for what I have.

Steve Aronoff   {K:21279} 4/26/2006
What I really like about this photo is it shows how bright colors to which we all respond can be so deceiving. One can easily live in a world that appears much better than it is in reality. There are all sorts of poverty: poverty of money, poverty of health, poverty of the soul, and so on. This is a great metaphor for this lesson. Well done!!
Steve

A very brutal and grim wake up call to all of us that have so much. The little girl, alone by herself gives it a more disturbing feel.

Luchar contra esta pobreza, la de la ignorancia, la de la carencia de afectos debe movernos a no bajar los brazos. Felicitaciones por una captura tan interesante!!!

Oh dear Bobot, this is such a sad journalistic image you have captured here. You have done well and the composition is perfectly balanced and studies of this nature need to be used as reminders to those who have better life styles than these unfortunates. An excellent piece of work and so very emotive.

As usual, I am behind because of work my friend but I will slowly catch up.....My very best wishes to you as always.....Ray

Good journalism work B, can't recall the name of the dumpsite in Tondo but guessing this was taken not too far from there. Well captured otherwise kabayan, regards.

Karina Brys   {K:16541} 4/27/2006
Sad but real. Good of you to also show us that side of the world. Maybe people over here (I mean the rich part) will stop and think for a moment... maybe

Excellent documentry shot. U have described well about the standard of living through your photograph.
The inclusion of the local little girl is a good idea.
It is overall a very good shot.
Well done my friend.
Regards.

Dear Friend!
I don’t think you expect my comment has to be about the perspective, details or colours!
It is a heartbreaking and depressing illustration about our unfair and injustice society worldwide! It is impossible to understand how our so-called “civilisation” societies use the cash and possibilities for the conflicts and warfare, but keeping silence about the usual needs of human-beings! Unbelievable!
Best regards: Maxime

My best regards to you and my best complement for your attention
Best wishes: Maxime
