I think they used this to catch bigger fish because of the size of the mesh and the net. The loop is very well seen not only because of its color but also the use of the background. The dramatic sky adds to the drama of this capture.

excellent control of exposure. good strong color, details and interesting subject matter. I would have cropped a bit more from the top (am a rebel) however I can see how thirds are important with this composition. well done.

I think you're right, Anna. It wouldn't hurt to crop a bit from the top. Thirds are certainly not the end all and be all. Thanks for your comments.
